Apollo native Sean Berkstresser is a Pittsburgh hockey lifer. Berky played his way up through youth hockey with the Pittsburgh Hornets before playing for the storied Pittsburgh Forge NAHL junior team. From there, Sean played on the inaugural NCAA Division 1 team at Robert Morris University. He lettered four seasons for the Colonials while earning a Business Management degree before going pro, playing 8 seasons in the East Coast Hockey League. Berky accumulated 201 points and 590 penalty minutes over 458 games with the Wheeling Nailers (Penguins), Johnstown Chiefs (Avalanche), Greenvile Road Warriors (Rangers), and Gwinnett Gladiators (Coyotes) of the ECHL. Now, as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Vengeance U18AAA team, he's looking to help the future generation of Pittsburgh hockey players reach their maximum potential.
